Rotation
At all sessions, tips are generally "on numbers", with dancers rotated by a computer program that can accommodate both couples and solo dancers.
Attire
There is no dress code and most dancers choose casual attire. You may, however, want to choose footwear depending on the venue. If a particular venue has restrictions in this regard (e.g., "only soft-soled shoes"), that will be noted on the locations page.
Session Format
One-Day Dances
We are currently scheduling Saturday dances, consisting of two daytime sessions, usually 11:00am-1:30pm and 2:30-5:00pm. Sessions may be C-1, C-2, or C-3A depending on the month.
Full Weekends
Historically, our standard format was a five-session weekend. We are now scheduling a few of these each year. Check the calendar for details for a particular month. Each session is 2 1/2 hours.
Friday Evening
Friday evening A-2 sessions run from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
Saturday Daytime
Saturdays are usually C-1, with no star tips.
Sunday Daytime
Sundays are usually some combination of C-2 and C-3A, possibly with C-3B star tips.
Caller Appreciation Dance
The Caller Appreciation Dance in December consists of two C-1 sessions on Saturday, called by local callers. (No Friday or Sunday sessions in December.)
